Our Annual Meeting is preceded by Mass at 6:15 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (Day Chapel) at 812 North Jackson Street in downtown Milwaukee.
A reception and the, usually brief, meeting will follow at Mi-Key’s located across Cathedral Square at 811 North Jefferson Street. Heavy appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available. A slate of proposed officers and governors has been emailed to current members and will be presented to the membership for election at the meeting.
If you plan to attend the meeting, please register online at Eventbrite. A voluntary contribution of $20 is requested which can be paid at the event or by printing, completing and mailing the Annual Meeting / Membership form on our weblog.
You may also use that form to pay the $30 annual dues for 2018 are $30. You may instead choose Chancellor Membership for $250 which makes you a "lifetime" member of the Society (i.e., you will continue to be a "dues-paying" member in all subsequent years). Dues are voluntary and payment of dues is not required to attend events.
The dues paid by the members serve many important purposes. As a non-profit organization run entirely through the volunteer efforts of our Board of Governors and others, we literally have no overhead. The Society uses the dues to provide, among other things: (1) funds to pay for our major events of the year, including the Red Mass & Reception and Annual Mass & Meeting, for those amounts not fully recovered through the price paid by attendees; (2) community-orientated programs, such as our very-successful Youth Law Day program; (3) our First Friday events; and (4) further donations to the Bishop Perry Scholarship Fund.
