This month’s speaker is Barbara Graham, Director of Legal Services for Immigrants for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. As you have undoubtedly followed in the news lately, the issue of immigration and, particularly, unaccompanied minors crossing the border, is at the top of national interest. Barbara will provide insight on this issue from the standpoint of a lawyer representing some of the unaccompanied minors.
Barbara Graham holds a JD, MA and BA from Marquette University. She also holds a Grand Diplôme from the Cordon Bleu in Paris. She is a former member of the Legal Assistance Committee and was awarded the Law-Related Education Attorney for 2002. Catholic Charities received the State Bar’s Pro Bono Program award in 2002. The Milwaukee Bar Association awarded Catholic Charities the Pro Bono program award for 2011. The Wisconsin Law Journal awarded Ms. Graham a “Leader in the Law” award in February of 2011 and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) gave her the Pro Bono Hero award.
Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 A.M. in the Chapel of St. Edmund Campion, located on the 4th floor of Eckstein Hall (Marquette University Law School).
