Zabrina Decker 'Canon Law: Changing to Meet the Needs!' Friday, June 3rd

Please consider attending the First Friday Mass at Marquette University Law School in the Chapel of St. Edmund Campion on the 4th floor of Eckstein Hall at 7:30 A.M. on Friday June 3, 2022. Fr. Brad Krawczyk will preside. Following the Mass, the speaker will be Dr. Zabrina Decker, who ministers as the Tribunal Chancellor in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Zabrina also teaches canon law in the Permanent Diaconate program for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and for the summer canon law program at The Catholic University of America.

Her discussion will be titled Canon Law: Changing to Meet the Needs! "Canon Law has been the backbone of the Church for centuries. Once an official revision was published, many believed that it would be set “in stone” until the next revision. Not so fast! The last 5 years has seen many updates, including a total revision of Book VI on Penal Law. We will explore the current changes in the law and their effects."

Parking is free in the structure underneath Eckstein Hall accessed from 11th Street just south of Wisconsin Avenue. Take a ticket from the gate as you enter and ask for parking validation at the front desk. The exterior doors will be unlocked from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Anyone arriving after 7:45 A.M. will not be able to get into the building without a MUID card. Following the Mass, the gathering and presentation will be in Room 257 (not our normal conference room on the 4th floor).
